There is a movement today to consolidate all religions into a single religion worldwide. This is not a new movement, but it has been gaining increasing momentum in recent years. It is a worldly grab for world power that is demonically inspired. What is shocking is that prominent leaders from the liturgical, evangelical, and pentecostal branches of the Christian Church are in agreement. In other words, apostasy reigns. Scripture warned that this would happen:
Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went outthat they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.
But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.
These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. (1 John 2:18-27)
We worship the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We worship the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We worship the creator of the world. We worship the Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior, and Lord:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. (John 1:1-5)
This One World Religion movement is not an ecumenical movement, rather it is a movement away from the Oneness that Jesus prayed to the Father for His followers.
All mine are yours, and yours are mine; and I have been glorified in them. And now I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one, as we are one. (John 17:10-11)
As followers of Christ, we cannot join ourselves with those who refuse to believe that Jesus is the Son of God, sent by God the Father to live and die as one of us so that we may be reconciled to God through faith in Jesus and his resurrection:
“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will[a] believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: (John 17:20-22)
Ecumenism has nothing to do with bringing all the world religions under a false god. (See Ecumenical Preaching.)
